Routine dentistry

Why it is so important

With regular visits to the dentist, routine dentistry – in the form of regular dental check-ups, digital x-rays, and dental hygiene appointments – allows us to help you look after and make the most of your teeth as well as to pick up any dental problems before they worsen.

This also means you can avoid the traditional pattern of fillings and extractions, which can end up being costly, not to mention potentially also end up in the loss of valuable teeth.

Simply book your Dental Check-up today and we will be happy to see you even on the very same day

Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are thin layers of ceramic, porcelain or Zirconia that cover the teeth and are often used to improve the appearance and the aesthetic feel of the whole mouth.

Veneers can not only provide an aesthetic improvement to teeth, but can also help prevent dental issues like damage or discolouration in the future by forming a protective barrier on the natural teeth beneath them.

What are Zirconia veneers used for?

Zirconia veneers are stronger than porcelain veneers
Zirconia veneers have been proven to last a lot longer if the patient has a good oral hygiene routine
With their translucent colour, zirconia veneers are virtually invisible and blend in with your natural teeth
All veneers (zirconia or porcelain) come in different shades, so you
will be able to choose which colour
matches your natural teeth or the shade you’d prefer

We use veneers to improve the aesthetics of our patient’s teeth or an individual tooth. Issues that can be improved by receiving veneers include:

Gaps between teeth or Chips and other damages to tooth shape or discolouration or stain.

What is the process for Veneers?

The process for applying veneers may take between 2-3 weeks and will be
spread over three appointments. However, this does have the potential of
taking longer depending on your personal dental health at the offset,
or if you have any damaged teeth that will need addressing first.

Our typical process for applying veneers consists of:

Virtual Consultation & Face to Face Consultation

You may start by sending us a photo of your teeth, then we will
assess it for how many teeth will be worked on followed by the
associated costs to expect. You will be able to ask questions to our
experienced team of treatment coordinators before booking a proper consultation with a dentist, where you can discuss the treatment in more detail

In person consultation

A consultation is our formal starting point for beginning your
treatment. We start by conducting a full dental health screen that will
provide us with information on your current gum and tooth health, as
well as check your mouth for signs of cancer.

Another valuable piece of information the consultation will provide
is an assessment of your bite. You will have to move your mouth as if
you are chewing normally and we will record how your mouth moves. This will enable us to experiment with changes to your teeth and see how this will affect your bite.

Planning

We will begin to plan your specific veneer teeth after taking x-rays
of your mouth and constructing a 3D image for you to see how your new
teeth will look. You will be able to discuss with your dentist if there
are any questions you have about your veneers and if you want to make
any changes before moving forward.

Preparation

You will need to come in for an appointment where we will reshape
your teeth and fit temporary veneers to give you a feel of what your
future teeth will look like. These temporary veneers will last for two
weeks, and during this time you can get back in touch with your dentist
if there are any changes that you want to make to your official veneers
before they are fitted. We will not move forward with creating your
veneers until we are sure that you are fully satisfied with the finished
product.

Insertion/Fit

There are many stages of approval during this process. First, the
veneers are assessed against your bite information to ensure that they
will fit your mouth as planned. Then, your dentist will view the veneers
and quality check them. Before they are finally applied, you will have
the chance to inspect them and offer your approval if there are no
further changes that need to be made.

As the last step before they are fitted to your teeth, they are
disinfected and etched with chemicals that allow the veneers to bond
with the bonding agent and the tooth itself

*We offer a full year warranty on our veneers should anything happens we will repair replace it free of charge subject to assessment by the dentist and approval

Composite Bonding

Having gaps, holes and chips in your teeth can be very frustrating.
It can significantly impact our lives by affecting how we smile, look,
and feel. These can also cause dental problems by damaging our tooth
alignment, impacting how we bite and sometimes affect the way we speak.

Tooth bonding (or composite bonding treatment) is one of the safest fastest and easiest ways to fix these dental problems and close the spaces
between your teeth. Unlike traditional veneers, composite bonding is
cost-effective and faster; in fact, the treatment can be
completed in one single visit.

Composite bonding is a suitable treatment if you have worn, stained, chipped or slightly uneven teeth. It is a pain-free procedure and involves bonding a resin material onto your teeth to revitalise your appearance and enhance your smile. Dentists or dental hygiene therapists are using it to treat many different dental problems
